Botulinum Toxin Injection is the most effective treatment in reducing dynamic wrinkles which are generated by facial muscle movements. It is a very safe and minimally invasive procedure where a carefully calculated amount of the toxin is injected into the facial muscles, thereby producing temporary reduction of the muscle movements thus reducing the formation of wrinkles. The results can be seen starting in a few days to a week. It is important to know that Botox is not effective in correcting static wrinkles (permanent visible wrinkles even when there’s no muscle movement) but early use of Botox can delay the occurrence of these static wrinkles.
